Project Summary

The Crime Scene Analysis lets users review standard operating procedures, take a quiz to assess their understanding, and complete a virtual simulation. During the simulation, users take photos, write notes, and collect evidence.

Problem

College of Science, Engineering, and Technology needs a virtual experience media piece that students can use in week 3 or 4 to help reinforce lesson material and gauge their understanding of crime scene procedures. This piece will also prep the students for the mid-term and final, which are live mock crime scenes in week 7 and week 14. This piece will replace the previous piece that was built on Unity technology that is no longer supported. Currently, students are reviewing a PDF of the Standard Operating Procedures for Crime Scene Analysis and taking a TAP quiz as a check for understanding.

Solution

Create a virtual reality simulation of a mock crime scene. The crime scene will be recorded using a panoramic camera. The mock scene site will take place in an apartment and will be set up by the product owner. The simulation will be hosted GCU media and will open with the standard operating procedures and a quiz.
